To enter you will be required to register online. You will receive an email, please click the link to confirm and you will then be able to complete your entry. Return at any point using your login credentials to manage your account and modify your entry until up to the closing date of 5pm GMT on 6 December 2019.

There is no entry form for the Freight Forwarder of the Year and the Newsmaker of the Year awards. The winners are chosen by the Air Cargo News editorial team and announced on the night of the awards. Entries will need to be submited for all other categories list below.

  • Any company of any size that conducts business in the international air cargo sector is eligible to enter the awards for free, in as many categories as they like (one entry per category). Entries which have been entered in a previous Air Cargo News Awards competition and have not been significantly updated are not eligible for this year's competition.
  • Entries that do not comply with the category criteria will be marked down or rejected. Please check the category criteria to ensure you are eligible to enter. Judges reserve the right to move any entries that they feel would better fit another category at the awards.
  • Entrants are required to explain in no more than 1000 words, divided into three criteria, why they deserve the award (appendices are excluded from this count). Supporting evidence that is clearly referenced in the entry must also be provided.
  • Entrants must complete an entry form for each category on our website by 5pm GMT on 6 December 2019. You will receive an email confirmation once your entry has been submitted.
  • Entries will be judged by a team of senior independent figures within the air cargo industry.
  • You will be informed if your entry has been shortlisted by 4 February 2020.
  • The decision of the judges is final and no correspondence on their decision will be entered into.
  • Award winners may state in advertising/promotional activity that they are a winner.
  • This must include the category and the year in which the award was won.
  • All entrants must agree to publicity in respect to their entry both before and after the Awards presentation.
  • Any confidential data in the entry must be clearly highlighted as such and will not be published.
  • The copyright of all materials assembled will remain the property of the organiser.
  • These may be used for the purpose of publicising the Awards.

Best Freighter Operator

This award recognises freighter operators that have invested in fleet, services and technology that have improved the customer experience.

Judges will be looking for:

  • Operational efficiency
  • Customer satisfaction
  • Fleet investment or expanded route networks
  • Facts, figures and testimonials demonstrating how these investments have benefited customers

Cargo Hub of the Year

This award recognises airports that have invested in services, facilities and communities to improve the cargo experience for airlines, shippers and freight forwarders.

Judges will be looking for:

  • Innovative solutions and service enhancements
  • Relevant case studies demonstrating how investments have benefited the air cargo supply chain
  • A demonstration of how airports are improving the air cargo supply chain based in and around the hubs
  • Facts, figures and testimonials demonstrating how these investments have benefited customers

Charter Broker of the Year

This award is open to charter brokers offering new and innovative solutions that enhance air cargo supply chains, or examples of unique projects that they have taken part in.

Judges will be looking for:

  • New services or solutions
  • Customer satisfaction
  • Examples of projects, their effectiveness and success
  • Facts, figures and testimonials demonstrating how these investments have benefited customers

Ground Handler of the Year

This award is open to all ground handlers in the global air cargo industry that have developed market leading services or technologically advanced facilities.

The judges will want to see evidence of one or more of:

  • Operational efficiency
  • Customer satisfaction
  • What the business is doing to meet the challenges of the future
  • Implementation of market leading technologies

GSSA of the Year

This award will recognise GSSAs that have invested in market leading services that help airlines fill the cargo hold of their aircraft while offering visibility, digital services and a personal service.

The judges will be looking for:

  • Operational efficiency
  • Customers’ satisfaction
  • New services and solutions
  • The implementation and success of new contracts - Facts, figures and testimonials demonstrating how these investments have benefited customers

Innovation Award

This award is open to any businesses providing innovative products, services or operations that are helping to transform the air cargo industry.

The judges will want to see evidence of:

  • Originality of services or features
  • Success of the product within the market and against performance indicators
  • Facts, figures and testimonials demonstrating how these investments have benefited customers
