Managing Director

Andy began his career in logistics as a Customs broker and progressed into regional and international sales roles at companies such as Kuehne & Nagel and DHL so has extensive knowledge of freight forwarding and international logistics. He used this market knowledge to launch Straightforward Consultancy in 2010, helping mid-sized companies to better control and manage their international logistics activity. Andy and his wife Diane run SCL day to day and act as virtual logistics managers for their customers, overseeing operational performance, managing freight costs and Customs compliance and steering them through the ever-changing logistics maze.

Public Policy Manager

Alexandra Herdman is a Public Policy Manager at Logisitcs UK. Her portfolio includes air, water and planning.

A qualified project manager, Alexandra has an MSc in Global Challenges from the University of Edinburgh, which had a strong focus on climate change mitigation and adaptation, decarbonisation, global health and international development.

Prior to Logistics UK, spent five years as a Senior Researcher in the Scottish Parliament, working on public policy and legislative scrutiny.

Celine is a recognised driver of positive change with 20 years of experience in international environment, mainly in the aviation & logistics sectors. Former Head of Cargo Transformation at IATA and Transition Director of TIACA, Céline is the founder and managing director of Swiss-based Change Horizon, a management consulting company which supports aviation and logistics organizations with their sustainable corporate strategies, development and transformation projects.

Celine and her growing team of consultants have a unique expertise in sustainability & innovation matters affecting the air cargo industry.

Passionate about learning & development, Celine is the co-founder of the Future Air Cargo Executives (FACE) program to attract, develop and retain the young talents in the air cargo industry in 2013 and the Women in Aviation & Logistics (WAL) initiative to improve the gender balance within the industry in 2021.

Glyn has been involved in Air Cargo for over 38 years having started his career with British Caledonian in the UK. He joined IATA in 1991 and become IATA's Global Head of Cargo in June 2014. In February 2021, Glyn joined TIACA as its first Director general where he works with the Board to deliver the organization's vision for a safe, profitable and united air cargo industry that embraces modern technologies and practices, to sustainably serve trade and social development worldwide. Priority areas include safety, security, sustainability, digitalization and innovation. He is dedicated to developing collaborative relationships and is a firm believer in supporting the next generation of industry leaders and innovators. Glyn spends a large amount of time on outreach programs with training and other educational establishments.

Global Head of Cargo

Brendan has worked in air cargo for over 20 years including spending 15 years at IATA in a variety of roles the latest since July 2021 as the new Global Head of Cargo.

Passionate about diversity and innovation, Brendan is also the co-developer of the IATA Future Air Cargo Executive (FACE) program. IATA’s program designed to attract, develop and retain talent in the air cargo industry.

Sullivan began his career in air cargo at Air Canada in 2000, where he gained frontline operational experience and developed expertise in dangerous goods handling that facilitated his transition to IATA in 2007.
